مقام‌های امارات عربی متحد جسد یک خاخام یهودی را که در این کشور ناپدید شده بود کشف کرده‌اند.
بنا به اعلام دفتر نخست‌وزیر و وزارت خارجه اسرائیل تسوی کوگان، خاخام یهودیان خباد از روز پنجشنبه در امارات مفقود شده بود.
وزارت کشور امارات درهمین راستا شامگاه یکشنبه با صدور اطلاعیه‌ای اعلام کرد که سه فرد مظنون به دست داشتن در قتل خاخام یهودی مولداوی‌تبار در این کشور دستگیر شده‌اند.
در حالیکه هنوز هویت افراد دستگیر شده از سوی مقامات اماراتی رسانه‌ای نشده، سفارت ایران در امارات عربی متحده هرگونه ادعای مرتبط با دست داشتن این کشور در قتل خاخام یهودی را قاطعانه رد کرد.
سفارت اسرائیل در امارات عربی متحده گفته که در مورد وضعیت او با خانواده‌اش در تماس است. اسرائیل مرگ این خاخام خباد را «اقدامی یهودستیزانه چندش‌آور و تروریستی» خوانده است.
